Release AI Music on Spotify and Streaming

Release it. Generate, produce, master and put it out.

Make a track with AI, finish it in a full DAW, master it to streaming loudness, and release it on Spotify, Apple Music and more under a royalty-free licence.

How it works

01

Generate the idea

Start from a prompt, with vocals and lyrics or instrumental, or upload your own recording and build around it.

02

Produce it

Split it into stems, rearrange sections, add your own parts and effects, and let the AI producer mix against a reference track.

03

Master and deliver

Master to streaming loudness with true-peak headroom, export a WAV, and upload through the distributor of your choice.

Loudness targets

Spotify-14 LUFS-1 dBTPnormalises up and down; −2 dBTP if the master is louder than −14 (Spotify for Artists)
Apple Music (Sound Check)-16 LUFS-1 dBTPApple asks for ≥1 dB headroom (S); the −16 reference is secondary
Amazon Music-14 LUFS-2 dBTPsources disagree (−13/−14, −1/−2 dBTP); −2 dBTP is the safe side

Licence and questions

Can I release AI-generated music on Spotify?
Section 4 of the Terms grants a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to release and monetise generated audio on music streaming and download platforms. Distributors and stores set their own rules — some ask whether AI was used — so answer their questions truthfully.
Who owns a song I make?
You own the original content you create. For the generated audio itself, the Terms grant you the licence above rather than ownership, and it covers works that incorporate it — your own productions built on it.
How loud should I master for streaming?
Spotify plays back at −14 LUFS and asks for −1 dBTP of headroom (−2 dBTP when the master is louder than −14); Apple Music normalises to around −16 LUFS. Louder masters are simply turned down. SoundGen's mastering targets these directly.
Are there uses it doesn't cover?
For audio from the default model, the licence excludes film, television and radio, commercially released multi-platform video games, and building sample packs or libraries to sell — unless agreed in writing. Read section 4 for the exact terms.
